Review-Lingerie Wars by Janet Elizabeth Henderson

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Lingerie Wars is the story of former lingerie model, Kirsty Campbell and the man who owns the competing lingerie shop across the street, Lake Benson. Lake has had to rescue his sister from taking all his savings and wasting it in a lingerie shop. All he wants to do is get the shop back in the black and get on with his life. Kirsty is trying to rebuild her life after a serious, near-fatal car accident ended her modeling career. What ensues is a war between the two shops to see who can come out on top in the very small Scottish town of Invertary.

I enjoyed this book very much. I always like to read books that are written by non-American authors. I like the use local terms and customs. I didn't like Lake at first, but I think we were supposed to see him as an arrogant ex-special forces guy. I enjoyed the humor that is infused throughout this book, especially the character, Betty. We see Kirsty at her best and her worst, and I can't help but love her no matter what. There is nothing better than a strong female dealing with an Alpha male. Also in this story is a side story of Lake's sister, Rainne, and some of her life struggles. I appreciate how the story ended and I would like to read the next installment in the Inventary collection! 4 out of 5!
