Wild Chase by L.A. Bressett- Blog Tour/Review/Giveaway

Synopsis

"Music is a Moral Law, It Give Soul to the Universe" - Plato

Sometimes it doesn't matter how long you know a person. The effect they can have on you can happen after four seconds or four years.

In Chase Taylor's case - it's both.

Avery McGuire doesn't just flip on a light inside of her - he set a blaze to everything holding her back. After only a week together he has to leave, but he strikes a match before walking away that won't easily burn out.

Four years later, Chase finds herself face to face with the boy - now rock star - who changed everything. The same one she still can't admit to falling head over heels in love with. She has no idea that her world is about to get rocked, in more ways than one.

Jennifer's Review
When I started reading this book, I thought it was going to be about a teenage crush. It starts out as a girl-meets-boy-falls-in-love-but-he-leaves story. She has terrible parents, he is a little older and lives far away. She is heartbroken but finds the courage to be herself after meeting him.

Things change half-way through the book. We skip to four years later and things get really interesting. Chase, the girl, is starting to live the life she has always wanted, rooming with her best friend from high school in L.A. Through a chance photo shoot, Chase is pushed into facing her past. She tries to move on, but things get very complicated.

I enjoyed this book. I wasn't all that happy with the way the different POV's were written in 3rd person. I think I would have liked it more if they were in first person. I liked the ending and I am glad that there will be a second book in the series because I want to know more about these characters! 4 out of 5!
