Wasted Heart was not what I imagined it would be when I first picked it up. I expected a rock star drug addict and the girl who falls in love with him to live happily ever after. I did not expect to be sucked into such a deep story with equally deep characters. I really liked this book! Syn is wise beyond her years and she has a good head on her shoulders. Rhye is a jerk. He's stuck in his rocker world with his addictions, his self-pity, self-loathing and guilt. He's given a last chance at his career but doesn't take full advantage. The chemistry between these two is undeniable and heartbreaking at the same time.
This is the first book I have read of Nicole Reed's. I will tell you that you can read Wasted Heart without reading the first 2 books in the series and have no trouble figuring out what is going on. I really enjoyed this book and I hope to be able to read more of her books in the future! 4 out of 5!

I love angst….I thrive on it, but only the fictional kind. I adore a story that grips the reader from the beginning and doesn’t let go…EVER.
