Review-Beside Your Heart by Mary Whitney

I received an ARC of Beside Your Heart and I had no clue what I was getting into. This story will rip your heart to shreds and leave you as a puddle on the floor, all in a good way. We've all had that one major high school love that gets away. Nikki is no different. We follow her through her Junior year and the highs and lows of being in high school, suffering a serious loss and finding love. Adam is a dashing young man from England, living in Texas for a year when he meets Nikki. He is taken with her and helps her to overcome her grief of losing her sister. I found myself rooting for the couple, even though I knew they would be apart. What was unexpected was the ending. I sincerely hope that there is a future for these two and the author will come back and let us see what the adult Nikki and Adam are like! 4 out of 5!

About the Author:

Even before she graduated from law school, Mary knew she wasn’t cut out to be a real lawyer. Drawn to politics, she’s spent her career as an organizer, lobbyist, and nonprofit executive. Nothing piques her interest more than a good political scandal or romance, and when she stumbled upon writing, she put the two together. A born Midwesterner, naturalized Texan, and transient resident of Washington, D.C., Mary now lives in Northern California with her two daughters and real lawyer husband.
